“It has since moved the literary shenanigans to downtown Portland, while maintaining the same free-spirited, independent PDX spirit. Given Portland’s reputation as a longtime literary hub—and the home of coffee roasters and corner breweries, free-range backyard chickens, and quirky independent book shops—Lit Crawl Portland events occur anywhere from hops grow rooms, to  local makerspaces, to vegan convenience stores. Hosts include such Portland-based literary fixtures as Tin House, Bad Blood Reading Series, and Future Tense Books, as well as presses and authors who’ve traveled from across the country for Literary Arts’ annual book festival, Wordstock, Portland.”
